Cancelling following a premium increase

When your insurer announces a premium increase for the following year, you keep your ordinary right to change basic insurance.

Key deadline

Letter received before 30 November.

On receiving the premium decision (usually in October), you can cancel your basic insurance as of 31 December. The letter must reach the insurer no later than 30 November. The new insurer takes you on without any health conditions.

Compare the premium, but also the deductible and the model (family doctor, telemedicine): that is often where the savings are.
