Cancelling when leaving the country
If you permanently leave Switzerland, your LAMal insurance obligation ends.

From the official departure date.
When leaving the country, you can cancel your basic insurance as of your official departure date, on presentation of proof (departure declared to the municipality, employment contract abroad, etc.). Supplementary policies follow your contract's conditions.
